Happy Black History Month 2022!! This year, I had the pleasure of sharing the Sunday sermon for the 4th Annual Virtual Black Heritage Art Show, hosted by Glenda and Milton Boone! Last year I facilitated a guided meditation, but this year God gave me much more to say. The show opened on February 4th with the theme of Family Ties. There were multiple artist and mediums of art used to showcase and celebrate black artistry! I preached, "What Troubles You" from the story of Hagar in Genesis 21. And y'all- when I say God showed up-GOD SHOWED UP in this sermon. I remember in divinity school a professor saying, "you'll always find yourself in the sermon", and my my my was God ministering to my soul as I ministered to God's people. This sermon, gave me clarity on a familial situation and set me free! I'd like to share this message with you all. Be Blessed and Be well, Lauren E.
